  1. Usually Dad reads the bedtime stories, but when there’s time, we all sit on the bed together and listen to Dad reading the night time story, and Miss Three’s version of the pictures. Then it’s tuck in time and nighty byes

  2. A nice warm bath, snuggly jammies, some milk then off to bed for ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ (*again*!!!!!!!!). Best part of the day xx

  3. My little daughter Ellie will have milk in our room then I’ll read her favorite bedtime books while listening to lullabies, then it’s brush your teeth time, night night and bye-bye books and countdown 3-2-1 lights out and sleep tight!

  4. We have dinner at 6:30pm, followed by very bubbly bubble bath (with lots of ducks, dollies, cups and spoons for pretend cooking of course!) Clementine brushes her teeth, puts her body lotion on, picks a beautiful pair of pyjamas to wear. Then we have story time ( and she cheekily stacks a pile of books mile high for us to read) , we sing some songs, many cuddles, a kiss good night and I turn out the light!

As a single working mother, this solid routine ensures that we make the most of our time together each evening. As she gets older I appreciate our special night time together more and more. They don’t stay little for long :) xoxo

  5. A nice play in the bath, massage and cuddles followed by a comfy pyjama and soothing milk. Off with the stars…I’m going to bed too by the way

  6. We have a lovely bath and snuggle into our jammies. Its then a story, more snuggling, and a bottle. Our little treasure is generally half asleep by the time the bottle is finished, and its straight into bed.

  7. We watch “In the Night Garden”, have a bubble bath, drink some milk, brush our teeth, get into our pyjamas and sleep bag, then our little one chooses a few books and one of us will read to him in bed…and finally, it’s lights out, with bunny snuggled closely.

  8. I enjoy the last part of my kids bedtime routine best. We’ve been reading aloud to them and encouraging them to imagine pictures in their minds. The book at the moment is The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. Isn’t it great to be a kid! I wish someone would tuck me into bed all clean, warm and snuggly, and read me a great book!

  9. Bedtime in this house is family dinner, shower, then put pjs on and have snuggles and stories on the couch with either mum or dad or both, then bed with their blankies :)

  10. Bubble bath, pi’s and a cuddle on the couch, story time then lights off and I tell the “I’ll love you forever” story by heart in the dark, singing and rocking them :-) Then they drift off to John Denver ‘Sunshine on my shoulders’.

  11. My favorite bedtime routine is get the kids off to sleep nice and early, and then actually have my first hour of the day to myself!!!

  12. My baby girls is still in my belly. But every night when we are lying in bed my boyfriend puts a hand on my stomach and ask her to kick him goodnight…

  13. Always a shower with dadda, chase around house and pin down for a new nappy, sleeping bag and at least four books always including one with Schnitizel Von Krumm, cuddles, kisses and then into the cot with bunny and teddy.

  14. We usually give our daughter a bath, milk and then she brushes her teeth. We then read her favourite bedtime story ‘Tell me a story Daddy!’ then we play peek a boo on the way to bed with her Teddy, bear & Turtle, she giggles all the way to bed.

  15. PJ’s, teeth, daddy play, calm mummy reading time, bottle and sleep… lights out 6.30pm (22 month old triplets – mummy needs time for mummy!!)

  16. Warm bath, cuddles reading books with mummy, then into bed after a hug and kiss good night for a bottle of milk. Love hearing her try say good night as I turn the light off. Just starting to talk and very cute!!

  17. After pretending to sit on the ‘strange lump in the bed’ and my daughter has magically emerged from said bed, my husband tells a made up story about a witch called ‘Witchy poo poo’ who isn’t very good at doing magic but Princess Ella always helps her fix things.

  18. Shower, home reader reading, them a talk about whats been going on that day , lots of kisses and snuggles , then hopefully sleep :)

  19. Wind down time! Frank Sinatra playing in the background while the girls hum quietly scanning through their choice of books for the night eagerly awaiting dads sleepy tones to meet their ears on the path to dream land.

  20. I usually take both my little girl and baby boy to the bath where they have a lot of fun playing together. Then we all go to big bed to read a book or most of the time it’s me telling my girl’s favourite farmer and horses story. Precious time together, cuddles, my girl’s big eyes looking into mine with wonder and innocence while she is cuddling her baby brother. In the middle of the story everyone is asleep (most of the time including myself), and now its Daddy’s job to put everyone into their beds.

  21. A brush of the teeth, into the pj’s and sleeping bag, read a book (if she’s not too tired) and then feed to sleep is our pattern here. Snuggling together as she calms down, relaxes, then finally drifts off is a special part of our day.

  22. A bubble bath which brings squeals of delight. Brush teeth, bedtime stories, hugs and kisses as we say goodnight.

  23. A relaxing bath followed by storytime when the children are tucked up in their beds. And then of course lots of cuddles, kisses and lullabies!
