Less is more
Here’s a tip to keep lipstick from feathering (a great trick if you have tiny wrinkles above your upper lip): Coat your mouth and go slightly outside your lip line with a clear balm ‑- like plain ChapStick — before applying color, it keeps your lipstick from smudging!
My favourite make up tip is using cotton buds for fine defining and contouring.
Check your make up in natural light, especially a good tip for a fair skinned red head like me! Very good for checking you don’t leave the house looking like you’ve been in a tanning booth for too long (or hanging around the Twilight kids)!
Less is best, Theres nothing worse than caked on make up that’s as thick as icing.
Apply sparsely, less really is more. You don’t want to look like Mutton done up as lamb.
Finish off a full face of makeup with a very light spray of hairspray. A great tip for special occasions, not really for every day. A make-up artist shared this with me many years ago.
I think a well applied fundation and concelear, blush and defined eyebrows with one coat of mascara gives u a antural look and define well ur face features.
Blot your lipstick, then blot again!
You are a winner! Congrats Josephine. Please contact us at michelle@cornflowerblue.com
Either have a dramatic eye and a subtle lip or the other way round – both will make you look like a clown
You can regain your youth. Just wear a touch of foundation!!
Apply Lip Balm before bed to keep your lips moisturised.
Definitely less is more! Over the top colour and application doesn’t look great
I have a few!
-Hair spray your finished eye makeup to set (eyes closed of course!)
-Choose either colour for eyes or colour for your lips, not both unless you want to look like a clown!
-Remove eye makeup with baby oil
Keep it simple! Don’t over-do your makeup applications!
If you don’t have time for anything else be sure to apply mascara and lipstick
Play up your lips or your eyes but never both or you’ll look like a clown!
Keep it simple
Use darker toned eyeshadow not just for defining your outer-corner but to line your eyelid and lashline – it creates a softer look than eyeliner.
You are a winner! Congrats Charlotte. Please contact us at michelle@cornflowerblue.com
I put clear mascara on my eyebrows to keep them looking perfect all day and night long.
You are a winner! Congrats Katrina. Please contact us at michelle@cornflowerblue.com.
Don’t be afraid to rock some bright red lips but remember to use lip liner first.
Congratulations to Josephine, Charlotte and Katrina C. You are the winners! Please contact us at michelle@cornflowerblue.com so we can send your prizes out!
